What is Thin Skin?
Thin skin is blend of polyurethane materials and imitates the appearance of skin. However, it is best used in cooler climates at it does not allow your scalp to breath like the full lace cap. Thin skin may be more difficult to blend into your scalp than an all lace wig if you do not have the precise thin skin color. If you have never seen or worn a thin skin unit before then we recommend that you go with an all lace wig.

What is the difference between the French and Swiss Lace?
The French Lace is more durable and will hold up better over the long run. The Swiss lace is slightly thinner, and a little less detectable, however it is less durable and it rips easier. It’s hard to tell the difference between the two. Both are undetectable. Most people order the French Lace. The Swiss Lace is not recommended for first time users. It is best to learn how to apply the wig and become skilled at the application prior to advancing to the Swiss Lace.

How long will my wig last?
Your lace front wig can last for a year or more depending on the upkeep and usage of the wig.

top^

Can the wig be parted anywhere?

top^

Do I have to wear makeup to hide the lace?
No, the lace should be cut back to your hairline and attached to your scalp with either liquid or tape wig adhesive. If you do this and the lace is the right shade, it will be undetectable.

What are Bleached Knots?
Bleached knots is a technique where they bleach out the knot that is made when each strand of hair is hand-tied into the lace at the base of the cap. It bleaches the knot out, making it a little lighter so that it does not stand out as much. It gives it a more natural appearance as though the hairs are growing out of the scalp. This is recommended when you choice a dark hair color.

top^

What does Density mean?
Density is defined as how thick or thin you want your hair to be.

top^

What is Remy Hair?
Remy Hair is human hair that is collected directly from a single hair donor. It is also referred to as Cuticle Hair or virgin hair. It is the softest and most natural hair on the market. The majority of human hair sold in the industry is non-cuticle hair. The hair cuticle has been stripped by using an acid-bath. However, with Remy hair, this is not done, so the hair cuticle is intact, therefore the hair is stronger. It also makes the hair softer and more natural and makes it so it does not tangle which allows it to be ideal for longer wear.

What is the Straight Hair texture?
The straight hair texture is the natural state of the Indian Hair as it comes from the donor. The straight hair texture will wave up when wet.

Can the Wavy and Curly Units be Flat Ironed or Hot Curled?
If you order a unit and select Wavy or Curly texture - that is a processed texture that is put into the hair with a perm for the wave or curl. You should apply heat products sparingly as it may over process the hair since it has a permanent perm already put into the hair. The only units that can be hot curled or flat ironed without concern for over-processing are the Straight hair textures or any unit that states that it is naturally curly or wavy.

top^

For Wavy and Curly Textures – Why would straightening the hair damage it if it is human hair?
Because a perm is used to process the wave or curl to make it permanent, therefore, applying heat to that perm could over process and/or damage the hair if you do it excessively.

What is the Single Drawn Hair and Double Drawn Hair?
Single Drawn hair is hackled and trimmed on one side. All the hair is in one direction, for example, all the roots will be at one end of the processed bundle. This high quality process allows for a very small percentage of hair to be outside the specified length of the bundle. This processing keeps the hair from tangling after it is bleached or dyed. This is very popular in Europe with the high quality hair extension who prefer this type of processing for their products. This hair is collected from Temples (particularly ladies hair). Double Drawn hair is hackled and trimmed on both sides and it will have uniform sizes. This can be prepared from Temple cut hair, which is non Remy, or from comb waste, which is collected in villages and in houses. This hair is used for manufacturing of Wigs, Hair Pieces, and Men's Toupees etc.

What's single knots?

top^

What's Reverse Triple Knots (Hidden Knots)?
It means the knots are hidden under the inside mesh( It has two pieces of mesh), and completely invisible, giving the impression the hair is growing out of the scalp. It is the best method to hidden the knots at present. But the procedure of processing is very complete, regularly needs 40 - 45 days to complete.

top^

What's Bleached Knots?
Bleaching the knots is just meant to make the knots less detectable. They won't be clear or totally invisible. The bleached hair will help to hide the knots in about 1/4 to 1/2 inch fronts. It is a method of making the hair appears as if it is growing from the scalp. It gives a realistic view effect. If the original hair color is Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown or Brown, then knots that hold the hair onto the base will be slightly lighter and will be much less visible. Bleached knots, usually only done at the lace front and it helps create the illusion that your hair is growing out of your head. If you want to apply bleached knots, you should bleach the hair knots in front hairline 2 inches or around perimeter 2 inches, throughout will make the hair to shed easily. French Lace
French lace is slightly thicker and more durable than Swiss lace. We generally recommend that first time buyers go with French lace because they are inexperienced at wig application and removal and are more likely to damage a wig cap made of Swiss lace. With experience applying and removing wigs, you may feel more comfortable with Swiss lace.
